Applicant profile:

The candidate to pursue a career in civil engineering should preferably have:

  • Interests. Mainly in urban construction, science and arts.
  • Aptitudes. In the scientific calculation, capacity for analysis and synthesis, in the management of abstract concepts, organization, physical resistance, inventiveness and originality, sociability, communication, drawing and overall vision, skill in dealing with people.
  • Attitudes Taste for outdoor activities, sense of authority, respect for values, customs and traditions.

Graduate profile of this educational program are prepared in the planning, design, construction, maintenance and administration of works for housing, urban and infrastructure development, according to the socio-cultural reality of Mexico, seeking the best use of natural resources and conserving the environment for the benefit of society.

That the set of competencies that the student acquires will be:

a) Ability to solve applied mathematical problems or civil engineering;

b) Ability to model, analyze and design civil works, taking into account the characteristics of materials and the progress of the advanze of the technology

c) Ability to plan, build, operate, maintain and manage civil works, taking into account their economic, regulatory and sustainable viability;

d) Sense of social and ethical responsibility;

e) Understanding of the impacts of civil works in global and social contexts.

PE Graduation Attributes

With the above objectives and the revision of the curriculum with the support of the Curricular Committee of the PE, the following Attributes of Graduation are defined

AE 1. Ability to solve mathematical problems applied to civil engineering.

AE 3. Analyze and interpret data and using the scientific method to establish conclusions (finding).

SA 6. Adapt to the changing circumstances of the professional environment and to the advances of knowledge, through the search, selection and use of relevant information for knowledge management and self-learning. (finding).
