PROFESSIONALES PRACTICES PROCEDURE

BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN MULTIMEDIA COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING

 

 

The Professional Practices are the academic activity that aims to complement the professional training of the student, through the application of the knowledge acquired throughout his career in the academic program of the Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in Multimedia Communication.

The professional practices are mandatory for the academic strengthening of the students of the Multimedia Communication Engineering Career which is established to be carried out through the practice performed in the institutions and companies agreed and contemplated in the curricular plan with a value of 20 credits.

 

 

FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES OF THE STUDENT

 

a) Comply with what is established in these regulations, as well as the dispositions dictated by the university authorities regarding Professional Internships.

b) Enroll in the Professional Internship program in the period indicated according to the calendar pre-established by the Career Coordination.

c) Abide by the rules and regulations of the Internship Center.

d) Maintain a dignified and ethical attitude inside the Internship Center.

e) Report to the assigned professor any difficulties that may arise in the performance of their work.

f) Comply with the orders of the head or official designated by the Internship Center to supervise their work.

g) Keep absolute confidentiality of the information provided by the Internship Center for their work, which may only be used with the authorization of the representative of the internship center.

h) Attend punctually and neatly to the fixed place of the internship.

i) Request from the supervisor or responsible chief the explanation of the objectives and the way in which the internship will be carried out.

j) Observe an impeccable conduct during the whole process of the internship.

k) Be subject to the established regulations and abide by the measures that the supervisor or responsible chief deems pertinent to ensure the proper development of the internship.

l) Carry the student's credential during the development of the internship for any possible need.

m) Deliver to the assigned professor the periodic work logs, on the established dates.

n) Prepare at the end of the internship an Executive Report of Professional Practices, in accordance with the provisions of Article 17 of these regulations.

o) Any other requirements established by university regulations.

 

 

 

The documents required for the Professional Internship are the following:

 

 

  • Internship application form.

  • Internship application form for the company.

  • Validity of the insurance, (healthcare).

  • Internship assignment letter from the career coordination.

  • Letter of acceptance addressed to the career coordinator by the company.

  • Official letter of conclusion of the internship.

  • Evaluation form of the internship supervisor by the company.

  • Final executive report of the internship which integrates the following sections:

All documents must be submitted in original to the Coordination of the Degree in Engineering Multimedia Communication

At the end of the internship, the Internship Committee reviews the Executive Report to fill out the Internship Evaluation Form and proceeds to enter the grade obtained.
