Mission

Our mission is to train from the academic, technological, social and cultural perspective, professionals of the Visual Arts with the ability to conceive and develop integral artistic projects that respond to the historical moment in which we live, to their social and consumer demand, with an impact on regional and national levels.

 

Vision

The philosophy of this degree is to develop artists with a comprehensive vision, by enabling their development in 4 key areas: the social, cultural, technological and academic. The key values to be emphasized include the freedom of expression, respect for one`s individuality, one`s profession and one`s culture, and commitment to society. Alongside this, a sense of identity and belonging is sought, with skills in the development of artistic work which plays a role in the social and cultural context. Attitudes of honesty, commitment, respect, criticality – including inner-criticality - and self-initiative are all sought.

 

Objetives

Objetivos generales:

 

  1. ·To help strengthen the production of visual arts in the region.
  2. To integrate learning environments conducive to the development of multidisciplinary projects.

  3. · To encourage university students to participate in the creative process by incorporating new paradigms of photographic language.
  4. To develop personal skills for the professional development in photography.

 

Specific Objetives: 

 

  1. To train creative and innovative photographers who use artistic language and techniques in unique ways in their professional practice.

  2. To strengthen the skills of creation, analysis, leadership and motivation to achieve particular artistic projects.

  3. To transmit a broad humanistic sense by fostering socio-cultural development for each individual.

  4. To promote the production of artistic and cultural work, in both individual and collective modalities, alongside a disposition and capacity towards multidisciplinary production.

  5. To offer training using traditional and contemporary techniques, and tools for quality professional practice.

  6. To prepare ethical professionals who are capable of becoming founders of the cultural imagination of their society.

  7. To promote skills that facilitate the creation, reflective management and critical reporting on social reality.

  8. To train professionals who capture reality, transforming it into significant artistic-cultural products that envision it.
