PROULEX JOBS Program

The Universidad de Guadalajara through the Programa Institucional de Lenguas Extranjeras, invites you to FREE ENGLISH COURSES:

¿What is JOBS?

Jobs is the English program designed by PROULEX for students at the Universidad de Guadalajara.

Jobs, from Proulex, was developed from the creation of the Programa Institucional de Lenguas Extranjeras (FLIP), which seeks to promote the learning and use of various languages, and which in its first stage focuses on the learning of the English language.

The courses are intensive, with 2 hours a day from Monday to Friday and for 6 semesters, according to the school calendar that you have at your university center. Jobs is an extracurricular program that requires commitment on your part to be successful. La Universidad de Guadalajara will support your courses, and you, for your part, will invest in your book.

At the end of the 6 levels of the Jobs program, it is estimated that you will be reaching level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference. You should know that in order for you to be able to carry out a student exchange in an English-speaking country, or to be accepted in a foreign institution in a postgraduate degree, or even to obtain a scholarship in Mexico, it is common for you to be asked for level B1 or B2. as a requirement.

The Jobs approach meets the training of students to function in the world, socially and at work using English as a Second Language (ESL)

Unlike the general approach (general English) used in high school studies, Jobs students will be exposed to topics related to their English for Professional Purposes (EPP) academic training and in five broad subject areas English for Specific Purposes (ESP):

  1. English for professional success
  2. Health Sciences
  3. Exact sciences and engineering
  4. Social sciences and humanities
  5. Business

To endorse and guarantee the competitiveness of students who graduate from the JOBS program, you will have the opportunity to be certified by internationally recognized organizations.
