The tutoring at Centro Universitario de la Costa and according to what is stipulated in the Tutorial Action Plan, is understood as the process of permanent personal and academic accompaniment of the student, focused on achieving a comprehensive training aimed at identifying together with the student, the factors and situations that hinder or enrich learning by developing support strategies to avoid lag and dropout, which aims to raise the terminal efficiency and promote the development of student competencies.
The tutor is assigned by a tutoring committee and the student must go to the head of the department that corresponds to the educational program to pick up his or her tutor assignment.
